Queen Cutlery knives made in PA ?

I think everyone is familiar with Case brand, but according to their website, this company which is a sister company of Ontario Knife is based in Titusville,PA. Does anyone have any experience with either the fixed blade or pocket knives they make? Workmanship, steel quality etc.

Re: Queen Cutlery knives made in PA ?

i've had the queen bird and trout for almost 40 years. it is my small game knife and can be sharpened til its dangerous. i checked out the queen display at a gunshow a couple years ago and talked to their rep and they still seem to be making some nice knives. not top of the line or anything, but good utilitarian knives. and still reasonably priced. i still like their bird and trout. this is exactly like the knive i have.

They are still made in Titusville, PA. Excellent quality and craftsmanship. They donate a couple knives to our RGS banquet every year.

As ANF stated, still in Titusville and the last I knew they had a small showroom that was open for very limited hours during the week. Believe they were acquired by Ontario within the last ten years or so? One of the previous employees spun off another company called Great Eastern Cutlery which is just down the road. I always thought the Queen quality was comparable to Case products, if not slightly better.

280 Mike,
which model did you get? I have four Queen Cutlery fixed blade knives. One I got for my 12th B-day, which is kind of a tradition in my family from Titusville. My favorites are my model #85 trout knives. They are great for trout and small game with the 3" blade. Mine are scalpel sharp and very handy for small dressing jobs.

I don't always hunt with a bow, but when I do I prefer Mathews. Stay vertical, my friends.

I got the 4185 hunting blade with the maple burl handle. I see what you mean about that #85. It looks like a handy size for small game. This was my 1st Queen purchase but it surely won't be my last.

Is there a showroom in Titusville that I purchase a knife? I am looking for a good lock blade that I can sharpen.
