Gps unit

Hi all, I have a question I've been kicking around in my head. A bit of background...I'm from Pa, but work as a hunting guide in Maine. I'm in the process of purchasing an existing bear hunting camp with 40 bait sites. Its new territory for me, so I want to learn it fast. My question is , what is a good gps unit where I can drop 40 or so "pins" (one at each stand) and easily use the unit to relocate them the next day? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, josh

Re: Gps unit

Garmin ETREX or Garmin Oregon........ depends on what you want to spend.

The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Re: Gps unit

Delorme InReach Explorer looks like a interesting unit. It's a GPS, has a emergency locator and has ability to send text messages.

Re: Gps unit

Ive had different makes and models, best ive found is Garmin, sinve 2005 ive had the Garmin Gps map60, it is easy simple and a pleasure to use. My techno not so savy father in law even borrows and uses it to locate and record gas well locations for work. I recently picked up a Garmin rino 110 for $20 at an auction it is also a 2005 model, it basiclly my Gps map60 but with a built in two way radio, that also works well. Father in law just purchased a Garmin Gps Map64cs (cs.. color screan) so that he doesnt have to borrow mine all the time. I set it up for him last night and it is just as easy andsimple to use as mine but just more modern and with the ability to link with other units, it also has a few luxery features. But if i was to buy a new one it would be a new rino or Gps Map
