In the market for a new scope any thoughts on these? Looking at the 3.5-10x40 Leupold or the 2-10x42 Zeiss Gander has the Zeiss on sale for $699 Leupold has a $100 rebate on the VX 3. Thanks!

I don't buy new anymore when a used carries the same lifetime warranty.I buy used Leupolds off fleabay for half the cost of a new one.

The answers to all of life's questions are found in the Bible!

Lone, everyone's entitled to their opinions, but a couple of years ago I looked at some high end scopes at a big box sporting good store. To me the Zeiss was clearly the best, and nothing else I looked at compared.
Bottom line, I don't think you can go wrong with either scope, but the Zeiss sure seemed superior to me.
