Covert MPE5 AND MPE6. Bulletproof performers for me and great battery life.

Re: Best trail cam under $100

I just got some Tasco trail cams at Walmart for $35. They aren't the best but work so far. For me, after having cams eaten by bears and other expensive cameras fail after a couple years it doesn't make sense to spend a lot.

By far the Moultrie D- 50. I ended up buying 4 of them even though I didn't need that many. They take better day and night pics then my Bushnell Trophy Cams and Scoutguard Spartan GO Cams, come with a 4 GB. SD card and all still have over 90% battery life even after taking thousands of pics. $50.00 each at Walmart. Also seen them on Amazon & ebay.

PETA hates me, but I'm okay with that......

Bushnell... MP5

This is a 5 megapixel cam. I've had as many as 6 of that running at one time. Quality and cost above all. This camera rocks.

I got a Stealth Cam G30 from Amazon for x-mas that cost $88. There were a lot of good reviews for this.

What's the deal with the low prices on the gen 2 cams from moultrie? Do they have problems? I still see gen 1 cams selling for more than the newer gen 2!

Re: Best trail cam under $100

Not really sure. I see they sell else were from $140 to $170. I bought 2 so hopefully they are OK. I played around with the one but haven't got it out in the woods yet. I still like my Browning spec op btc-3xr better. If I were to recommended a camera it would be that one but, they are a little over $100. If you keep your eye open normally you can get one around on eBay for $125-$140
