Bushnell Banner Scope

I'm looking at a Bushnell Banner 3-9X40 scope for my .30-06. I looked at it in the store and it seems really clear and bright. Cabela's site gave it 4.4 stars out of 5 so it would seem to be good plus it's in my price range. What do you guys think about these scopes? Thanks!!

Marlin 336CS .30-30

Re: Bushnell Banner Scope

Good scope! I have many of them and they are good clear scopes for the money! Never had one fog up either!

Re: Bushnell Banner Scope

I would spend a couple more dollars and go up to their Trophy line of scopes, if you are set on buying a Bushnell. The throphy line is usually the minimum scope I reccommend. A hunting gun is only as good as its sights, so why try to save few bucks on an "ok" scope.

I do own one Banner - it is their 4-16 model - it is on a .223. It does ok - but I am not out in the mountain in poor weather with it.

I suggest to anyone looking for a scope to look at Leupold or Nikon. Their entry level scopes can be had for $130 to $180, on up. I also understand when money can be tight, so in that case skip the banner and go to the trophy.
