In the market for a new hang-on stand

So, this is the second year that I've been archery hunting after a 10 year break. I have really gotten to like hang on stands but have a big problem.

I really can't stand the cables most manufacturers use to support the platforms. I found an older stand last summer(can't remember the name) that the platform supports itself and the seat is held up with a strap, doesn't support anything. I have hunted out of a few friend's stands that all use the cables, and since I'm not the most graceful person, they seem to get in the way. I really like this old stand, except the platform is TINY.

I seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.

Comfort Zone @ dicks. They are about 35 bucks for the smaller platform, and 65? for the larger. They are "made in china", like all products here in Union America, but they are well made. I've placed 5 in the last 2 years. I'm gonna start throwin down for the larger one in the future for those all day sits.

Oh, those cables you note, are 1/4 steel. If you can break em with you're body weight....well...good luck to ya.

I'l;l never waist my money on those things. They should be called "Un-comfort Zone". I am OK in those for about an hour before my rear is numb. Besides, they have cables.

I'm willing to shell out for the really high end stands, but they all still have cables as far as I can see.

bear Creek. Heavy but rigid. It is a chain on, with integral seat.
