need advice on gloves

Hey everybody! Looking for advice on the best cold weather gloves/mittens. My hands get icy cold. Have tried underarmour liners in Thinsulate gloves, mittens with hand warmers and they still get cold even when I've been archery hunting!Needsome input-no deer down yet, so I guess I'll be hunting in the cold! Thanks!

I have the same problem! My hands still get cold even with the warmest gloves i can find on! I do have a fleece hand muff though and this does help a lot.

Re: need advice on gloves

What you want are a pair of MITTENS that have a slit slide your fingers out. Mittens will be 10 times warmer than gloves. Take a handwarmer and throw it in their too. When you need your fingers to shoot, or rummage through your bag, zip up your coat, just slide your fingers out of the slit.

I bought a pair of Gander Mountain's TecH2O gloves last year and they are very warm. These are the best cold weather gloves I've owned to date.

Re: need advice on gloves

I cannot recommend a specific brand of gloves(or boots for feet) that keep my hands warm when I am sitting in a stand all day and am not able to walk around and get the blood circulating. What I have found that works fairly well is one of those hand-warmer belts that you wear higher up on your waist about kidney level. They hold a couple of the hand-warmers and it warms the kidneys which in turn warms the blood going to the rest of the body. I do try to use thinsulate gloves and Arctic Shield made a decent pair a few years ago but any glove built with insulation works well with that belt. You can stick a warmer in the gloves too if needed.

Our forefathers didn't bury their guns. They buried those that tried to take them.

Anothor thought, I have a hand muff. I wear only light gloves and shove them into the muff, and when I'm ready to shoot, I'm not dealing with bulky gloves.
