Best cushion/seat?

My current cushion is an el-cheapo Walmart circle seat (I'm sure some of you know what I mean). My backside has decided it is time to upgrade. I am really looking for a couple key things...portability, versatility, and most importantly - comfort. I do a lot of different types of hunting, from still hunting to sitting on the ground, to hanging out in trees, so this seat must be able to do all of this.

What are your suggestion?

Concept is cool, but price is a little steep. How does this work in December when the ground is frozen? Assuming it's useless at that point?

Don't Tread On Me is what it says and I'll take that to my grave.

Re: Best cushion/seat?

I have a HuntComfort and love it, BUT....I just got back from a hunt in SC, and the outfitter used a "cushion" that has it beat all the way around. It's cheaper, lighter, and as (or more) comfortable.

What is this wonder seat? It's an inner tube from an wheel barrow tire. It's so simple it's stupid....it's light, water proof, and amazingly comfortable.

I'll be getting a few to use here at home now, too.

Re: Best cushion/seat?

There are apparently covers made for them (at Cabela's I think? Haven't seen them, but I'll look...)?

I know that I sat on one in the bed of his pickup for the ride back from the stands one day and it took all the jostling/jolting with ease. I never sat a stand with one because the other hunters were using the ones he had, lol.
