Bushnell Trophy XLT question

I purchased a 4-12x40 Bushnell Trophy XLT scope about a month ago. I finally took it to the range yesterday and found something odd. When adjusting for windage, the bullet was hitting in the opposite direction from what I adjusted for. To adjust the point of impact left, the dial says to turn counterclockwise. When I turned it counterclockwise the bullet would hit farther right. I have 2 other rifles with scopes and both windage adjustments on them say to turn the dial clockwise to move the POI left.

Anyone else have this scope? If so.....can you check the windage adjustment and see if "left" is a counterclockwise adjustment?

Re: Bushnell Trophy XLT question

I read the same topic on another forum seem the dial is not correct.I would return it to bushnell and not pay for the return shipping.I have a trophy model 600 DOA in the safe I wonder how it is I have not had a chance to look at it.

Re: Bushnell Trophy XLT question

Get a veteran shooter to look at it first. If he thinks there is a problem take it back to the dealer who may give you a new scope and return it to the dealer himself. He may have sold you a faulty scope. My Leupold caused me the same problen then my father adjusted the scope rings and it is fine now.Saved me shipping it back to the factory.

Re: Bushnell Trophy XLT question

I sent Bushnell an email. They replied to call customer service to get it exchanged.

Re: Bushnell Trophy XLT question

I talked to a Bushnell rep and they are going to send me the correct windage scale to replace the one that is "backwards" on my scope. He said it was most likely human error. They were great to deal with and there is no cost to me.
