Finger gun is a crime in Pennsylvania

a man made a finger gun gesture after a neighbor gave him a double middle finger. there is trouble between the two but a neighbor woman saw the finger gun gesture and felt "Insecure" so she called the police. this isnt the only place this has happened. this is real and its insane. this is what things are coming to.
cant even form your fingers into a gun shape.

hard to believe that people in Harrisburg are that stupid to pass a law like that. lucky that people are only pointing their fingers and not the real thing. with what's been going on in this country, it could be worse. red flag laws are utterly dumb because if you make a neighbor or a family member mad and they call the police, they can come and take your firearms and possibly have you arrested. another thing is most politicians would be finger dead.

I saw that on the news, the neighbor had a video on their phone of the guy doing the index finger and thumb thing. I can't believe any Superior court judge would find anyone guilty of anything over that. I suspect if it was appealed to a higher court it would get thrown out, problem is, it was only a $100.00 fine for disorderly conduct.

I'd still spend the money to appeal and challenge that 'law' in court, let them spend the money to defend it. How about the middle finger...still lawful to unholster that one?

No, a 100 dollar fine would be a summary offense.

Penalties and Sentences

Generally, disorderly conduct is charged as a summary offense in Pennsylvania. This is a less serious charge than a felony or misdemeanor. It is not actually a criminal conviction. However, it will show up on criminal record history checks and for that reason, should be taken very seriously. A summary offense may receive a sentence of up to ninety days in jail and/or a fine of anywhere between $25 and $1,500 depending on the degree or severity of the summary offense.

Can Disorderly Conduct Be Charged as a Misdemeanor?

This crime may be charged as a third degree misdemeanor if the defendant intended to cause serious inconvenience or substantial harm, or if he/she persisted with the disorderly conduct after being asked to stop. A third degree misdemeanor in Pennsylvania may receive a sentence of up to one year in prison and/or a fine of up to $2,500.

Glad I live in Arizona. Arizona has always been rank 1st or 2nd as a gun friendly state.

I carry a gun because I'm to young to die and to old to take a ass whipping.
