Those of us from more rural areas are generally represented by politicians who hold similar values as hunters or are at least willing to represent our opinions without too much prompting. While it is still necessary to let our representatives know our views on the issue, it is perhaps more important to let your representative know where you stand if you happen to reside in a more urban area. There are a lot of sportsman in the Philly, Pittsburgh, Allentown area, and your voices can make a big difference.

Rotunda, steps, part way back the hallways and the upper balconies were well-populated this morning for the rally.

Largest crowd I've ever seen inside the Capitol Rotunda. Big enough, that the police weren't letting anyone without credentials in the main entrance by about 10:30, due to a capacity crowd. Dozens of state Reps, three Senators, Cong. Glen Thompson and many more. Big bunch from Beaver County, as usual. And lots of women this year. There have always been quite a few women at these rallys, seemed like even more this time?

A dozen or more of our county Sheriff's departments were also there, along with deputies.
BCozhunter and bad primer like this.

I was surprised by the turnout.

At 9:40 you could walk pretty much anywhere on the Rotunda floor by 10:00 the place was packed. It was great that the Rotunda got filled to capacity!

I just wonder if the politicians actually listen to these rallies or do they just pretend to hear them

I'd like to think that at the very least they know when "we the people" show up that we care about the issues at hand and we care about our rights.

I figure if no one shows up they will feel more embolden to do what they want because know one cares.

Four or five female legislators, including Sen. Bartolotta who spoke today. I don't think Sue Helm and Tina Pickett have ever missed one since they were elected? Coupla dozen male legislators were there, three or four spoke.

Pretty sure those who make the effort to attend each year, hear what people have to say? They also tend to spread the word to their colleagues.

Forgot to update this. Tomorrow, May 6, 2019 is this year's Rally at the Capitol.

10AM, as usual.
