Bipod?

I want to put a bipod on my Remington R-15. Does anyone have any recommendations of what to put on it?
Thanks
Mike

Re: Bipod?

Harris make a nice bipod. I like the 9"-13" swivel model. Also, Blackhawk has a series of knockoffs that look pretty good for the money.

Re: Bipod?

Harris all the way! Have mine for years. Still works as good as the day I got it.

Re: Bipod?

What didn't you like about it? What did you replace it and why do you like it better? I have 2 Harris and like them both. The 2nd one is newer , it has a larger thumb screw which is nicer, both swivel. I use the 9"-13" more than the other one is13.5"-27". I don't use it very much at all.

Re: Bipod?

Another vote for Harris. I have 4 of them from the short to the kneeling hight model and love them!

Re: Bipod?

mine was a harris, nothing wrong with it I just couldn't get steady using it. years ago I had a doe coming toward me across a field about 350 yds tried to get on her then finally picked up the whole thing and shot her at the last minute as she jumped the fence. Harris is probably the best I just can't use one.

Re: Bipod?

Op, what kind of shooting are you planning on doing with the rifle? What distances? What environment/setting?

Not that this is your situation, but I've seen a number of folks put bipods on their AR simply because they have room to bolt more things on, and not out of an actual "need" for one.

IMO If your shooting is primarily done at your local 50 yard range, the bipod is just a waste of space and time.
