help me decide

im torn between these three shotguns, a browning A5 hunter, a browning silver, or a Remington 1100 sporter, all 12ga ive picked em all up except for an 1100 haven't found a shop yet that has one in stock. picked up an 1187(figured it was similar to the 1100) and it was nice but defiantly heavier than the brownings. anybody have one of these shotguns? my heart is kinda set on the A5 I love the way it feels, it flys to my shoulder and points like a dream, but its more expensive. any advice or info on any of the three would be greatly appreciated.

Can't speak for the Browning, but 1100's are pretty nice. I had 3 of them, sold 1 to help fund a rifle. I don't own one but can't imagine you wouldn't be happy with am 11-87 either

Can't go wrong with an 1100. Time tested and proven. Used ones are cheap....

If you buy what you really didn't have your heart set on, then you'll just convince yourself in time that you should have bought what you wanted in the first place. Then eventually you will go buy what you really wanted all along.

Buy the A5.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.

Re: help me decide

I think the Browning is the same gun as the Winchester SX3.

Re: help me decide

The silver might be, but the A5 is nothing like the Win.

I too picked up the A5 and loved it, but that inertial system scares the heck out of me. I've tried shooting Benelli's before and they will not cycle for me with light loads. I'm not going to say don't, but work something out with the shop if it gives you problems.

Aside from that, gas operated guns just work. End of story.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun.

Re: help me decide

Bought a Silver 20 gauge last Oct but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. A micro was the only one I could get my hands on at the time for the price I wanted to pay. Browning had a special deal to get an adult stock put on for a reasonable price. I just got it back last week and boy did they do a beautiful job on the stock. They put on a tiger stripe butt stock to match perfectly with the fore stock. Couldn't be happier and can't wait for some warm weather to shoot.

Looks like you now have votes for all three!
