2014 remington 783

the new 783 is out , there saying 5 shots under inch, barrel is floated , stock is bedded , 2 new calibers 243 and 7mm mag , its cheap looking , but so was the 788, and now the 788 is very collectable , and sought after , the 783 is around 400.00 , only if they would offer it in 6mm

I wouldn't buy one with the hopes of it being collectable. Buy it cause your cheap and don't want to spend the money on a nice rifle with nice wood and bluing.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.

Re: 2014 remington 783

The 788 was not a flimsily built rifle at all...These new Remingtons seem like junk...Doubt if they'll ever become collectable..When it comes to Remington, I'll still stick to the Model 700.

I am with you big ken, spend the extra 100-300 depending on model and get a rifle you can pass from generation to generation.

700's for me too, also model sevens but being a lefty im SOL. Save up a extra month and get a 700 they dont loose value and will be a sure heirloom

It may be a poor choice of words but I am smart enough to understand what you meant.

The 6mm is as common as giraffes in Cleveland....Don't expect to see it anytime soon!

Big green can't please everyone, and i kinda like that. It leaves more for me.Hate the 783's myself, but 700's? Gotta love a rem 700. Savages ( which i bet he's in love with) are like ugly chics that are good lovers. Most guys like them, but few want to be seen with them...
