Re: Forbes Rifles

None yet, but I'll have one soon! They are built off of the New Ultra Light Arms custom rifles that Melvin Forbes pioneered. Super light and super accurate...

Re: Forbes Rifles

My question was accuracy..............They seem very nice. I want the short action model 20B. Hoping they come out with more calibers besides the .243, .308, and 7mm-08.

Re: Forbes Rifles

I want one too. Just starting researching them pretty heavy. Accuracy reviews have been very good. I did see a couple other calibers listed like my current favorite 338 federal.
My only concern is I have several T3 Tikka lites that are only a shade heavier and are accurate as heck for less than 1/2 the $$ of the Forbes. I want to get my hands on a Forbes first.

Re: Forbes Rifles

Looking for a mild deer/bear caliber being the recoil on a 4.75lb gun will be stiff.

Re: Forbes Rifles

I have one of Melvin's "cheap" .270 Colt Light rifles-arguably one of the best rifle buys ever...easily shoots an inch with several handloads, none of which were worked up specifically for it...it lacks the NULA touch his current day guns have and is one of my foul weather hunters....

I've had a couple of his .22s for years, both of which are very accurate....

Buying a rifle from him is never a mistake....
