Beretta Tomcat

I have the chance to pick up a Beretta Tomcat for a decent price. Does anyone have one? any tips or things to look for before purchasing it?

Re: Beretta Tomcat

Shoot the daylights out of it BEFORE you buy it.....a couple hundred rounds....I saw one literally fall apart while its owner was shooting it....everything named Beretta is not synonymous with quality.....

I would not buy one....

Re: Beretta Tomcat

I have a beretta px4 storm in 9mm and I love it. I have over 1,000 rounds through it and no problems at all. To each their own I guess.

Re: Beretta Tomcat

My little sister had a .32 Tomcat that her husband gave her. She never liked it as much as his 96 .40, but it always worked. He did get her some Ajax grips for it that shattered, but otherwise it worked perfectly. Good luck finding a seller willing to let you torture test it before you drop money on it. I have a number of small autos; my only complaint about the Tomcat is the size and weight for the caliber. Makes a really nice belt gun with a small holster as opposed to a pocket gun, though.

Re: Beretta Tomcat

I have experience with them and they are just fine for a pocket pistol. No issues for me.

Re: Beretta Tomcat

My wife likes the Beretta Bobcat .25 auto, easy for her to load/unload. I think they are great carry pistols. Never heard of any falling apart. Wife's has always shot well with no FTFs.
