Re: 12 shot 22 revolver

myself I would not get a 12 shot revolver. the cylinder wall is not thick enough between rounds and could possibly cause one of the rounds in the next space to go off. I had this happen with a 9 shot revolver. got sprayed with lead and jammed the cylinder. id stick with ruger single six, or S&W six round revolvers. just my opinion.

Re: 12 shot 22 revolver

How do the rounds in one chamber cause rounds in another chamber to go off? it isnt a cap and ball revolver.

Re: 12 shot 22 revolver

It is a full size revolver, a Colt 1873 clone......that is how they can fit 12 rounds in the cylinder safely.....

Re: 12 shot 22 revolver

revolvers cylinders are not perfectly tight even when loaded with 22 shells. there is a space behind the cylinder so it can spin. even though a 22 does not produce much recoil it can produce enough if using ammo like mini mags. it happened to me with a H&R 9 shot 22 revolver. when the gun fired the shell next to the one that fired also fired. sprayed lead and jammed the cylinder. I quit using high velocity ammo in it. this happened to me a couple of times. sold it and got a 6 shot revolver and never had that happen again.

Problem is, THIS is a full size Colt SAA clone........it has more than enough room in the cylinder

Ruger Single Six's and H&R's are all reduced frame size revolvers.......
