Strange one...

So I found a NIB 7600 in 35 Whelen at a LGS. It came with the green plastic case and unopened manual packet. Well, the case and packet have the serial# of the gun on them, which match the gun. But... it says it's a carbine, 18" barrel, which it's not in actuality. Wish it was. Strange.....

Alrighty then!

Re: Strange one...

Those green cases were a Remmy thing in the 1990's. I have a NIB 1187 in one.

Re: Strange one...

Yes the case has a sticker on the end just like a cardboard box would, with the serial# and such. Says carbine 18" barrel, as does the manual packet.
Numbers match the gun, which is for sure new and unfired. I wonder if I can send it back to the factory and have them install a carbine barrel on it??

Re: Strange one...

The limited edition Classic in .300 H&H showed a 22" barrel on the box label...misprints happen....
