Henry .22 lever action,, accuracy

Am looking for any first hand knowledge as to the accuracy of the .22 Henry lever action. Saw one for sale. Short and light. I would use for Squirrel hunting. Also would you put a scope on it.

Re: Henry .22 lever action,, accuracy

My uncle just picked one up and put a Simmons .22 mag scope on it. It shoots plenty good enough to kill squirrels with.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.

Re: Henry .22 lever action,, accuracy

I am a big fan I have one that I use for squirrels with a good 4X power scope. IMO they are better/smoother than the Remington and Winchesters or Marlins. It is a tack driver that shoots as good of groups as many target .22's that I have seen. Excellent workmanship and all parts are us made in New York by American workers, don't think you could do any better.
