Scope suggestions

I am looking for a versatile scope. I am looking to be able to shoot woodchucks out to 500 yrds, deer in the thick pa swamp and woods, and 600 yard mule deer shoots out west. What r your suggestions?

Re: Scope suggestions

Sounds like one scope aint going to do it all, let alone one gun. Maybe that's just me?

Re: Scope suggestions

I plan on using a 270 130 grain for the large game and a managed recoil 100 grain bullet for the chucks

Re: Scope suggestions

Thinking the same thing. I mean I know the saying: "Beware the man with one gun, for he surely knows how to use it." but to cover all that? Gonna very difficult to do.

Re: Scope suggestions

Maybe something like a 25-06 or 6.5-.284 or one of the other 26 calibers out there with a 2.5-10 power true mil dot or matched turret BDC reticle? I had a .243 Ackly improved that was pure death on chucks and though heavy took more than one whitetail at 400+, though it wasn't suited for it specifically...

Re: Scope suggestions

And an etched reticle scope, so the reticle is always on the same plane as the magnification turret...

Re: Scope suggestions

Are you looking for a specific brand of scope suggestion? Or were you just concerned with our suggestions for power ranges? What type of budget are you looking at?
