Thinking about a hi point carbine 995st (9mm) just a fun cheap plinker that everybody in family could enjoy shoting. Wondering if anybody has advice.

Re: Hi point carbine

I don't own one...yet, but I did have the opportunity to run about 300 rounds through the .40 S&W version. I found it to be "pop can" accurate out to 50 yards, and it ran flawlessly.

I have a .380 hi-point I carry while cutting firewood. It's cheap, ugly, and heavy, but it goes bang every time and with adjustable sights, it's accurate enough to 25 yards. It's not for everyday range use, but I trust it enough for carry purposes. Also made in the USA and a lifetime warranty.

Some guys call them "monkey" guns, because they
resemble the rifles used on "The Planet Of The Apes"
movies.
