Just bought a new .257 Roberts today

Stopped in a Potter County Outfitters today. Sitting there on the rack was a beautiful new Winchester model 70 featherweight chambered in .257roberts. I decided to take it for a ride home anyone familiar with these rifles or have anything to say about them?

I love my .257 Roberts for deer. I think you will be really happy with the caliber as well. Mine is in a Browning BLR, so I can't say much about the Model 70. Congrats on the gun purchase though!

Great cartridge for deer. Still kicking myself for not buying the one I found in the gunshop near camp, about 12 years ago.

New M700ADL synthetic, compliments of Grice's "special order" fetish.

Mine is a Rem 722, Good deer round I always get some positive comments at the range. It is a little tuff to walk into Wally World/Dicks and get ammo though at least here in Berks. Good luck with yours.

My pet rifle is a Remington 7600 chambered in .257 Roberts. Very soft shooting but plenty of punch, a pile of dead deer don't lie!

I don't hunt turkeys because I want to, I hunt turkeys because I have to.
