Anyone hear of a Browning SS model 28 12 gauge

My daughter is in her senior year of law school and asked me to be an expert witness for her team. Of course its a fake trial but next to the real thing. Its for her final exam so old dad will give up his first sat. of rifle season to drive to Baltimore of all places to be an expert witness. The thing that stinks she is representing the plantiffs family that this dude was going to clean his gun and they found him dead. Ins. company says suicide and wont pay so kid has to prove it could of been an accident. Any help guys i would appreciate for my kid.

The only Browning SS I know of is the BSS, Browning Side x Side shotgun. Was made until the early to mid 70's. Nice shooter, I have one and love it!! Never heard of a BSS model 28.

Could have, there supposed to send me the packet. Back to what im supposed to do , i think it would be hard to shoot yourself on purpose with a shotgun with a 30" barrel. Any opinions on that? Just trying to help my kid and for once i get to be an expert witness.

Re: Anyone hear of a Browning SS model 28 12 gauge

I once had a guy pull the trigger of a long flintlock with his toe to commit suicide. You have to really be committed to dying if you do something like that. I would see where in the scenario the shotgun was located in relation to the body and what part of the body the guy was shot. Positioning the gun differently would make the trigger more reachable. Guns just don't "go off" by themselves. It takes a series of mechanical events to make them fire. If there is a bad sear and the gun fired when the action was closed, its not likely the business end would be pointed at your body (other than your foot, perhaps) when you closed the gun. Additionally, who cleans a loaded gun?

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.

i was thinking on that line today that he could of used his toe. I sent my daughter atext telling her that to look at the picture to if it showed if he still had his shoes on. This is really based off of a real situation of course no names and my daughter has to try it.
