Re: 300Win Mag boss setting

Are they the core Lokt bullets? If so, 4 is exactly where mine is set.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people asking questions.

Re: 300Win Mag boss setting

its weird that you are posting this because i jst got a browning a bolt 300 win mag. im shooting federal blue box 150 gr soft point. my spot is 9 and it shoots about 0.75 or a little bigger. good luck. ohh and the boss is friggin sweet it reduces recoil but with no ear plugs your ears will ring even in the field

Re: 300Win Mag boss setting

The idea of the Boss is to tune the barrel to the load.

If all guns were the same they probably wouldn't have invented it.

You need to find the spot for your rifle. You will do this by shooting groups at different settings and selecting the best group as that rifles boss setting for that load. It will change if you change loads.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.
