Re: Remington managed recoil ammo?

In a 30-30 or 270 at 100 yards it hits within a 1/2 inch.If your sighted at 100.Terminal performance on a deer has not been tested by me.If it is for a kid trust me it won't hurt the kid. That ammo makes a 270 feel like a little less recoil than a 30-30.In a 30-30 the gun just shakes,my son said that about 2-3 years ago.No doubt in my mind it will kill a deer.

Got my nephew a box of 270 a couple of years ago, got rid of his flinching problem and he took his 1st deer later that year

Interesting. Did he eventually step up to full power hunting loads? Sounds like a great way to build up to pull power.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

I've heard only good things about the Rem. MR loads so far.

Re: Remington managed recoil ammo?

Well just a little report, I gave the MR loads a try. Not very impressed with the accuracy. shooting off bench with a stoney point bag for a nice solid rest best I could get was 2in group at 100. Now I know for hunting purposes this is more than suffiecent but I guess I was expecting a little better. Guess ill have to use them up and once theyre gone try something else to see what my gun likes.
