XDS 45 or XD 40 Subcompact for conceal carry?

I am up in the air on which to purchase? Any help or input helpful!
I can pick up the XD for $393 and the XDS for $469.
I have been trying to decide for the past week.

well i own the xds in 45 acp and love it. im 6'2" and it still fits my hands near perfect. the recoil is really not bad at all. fit finish and trigger pull are awesome and are of course that of sprigfield excellence. accurracy is very acceptabe at 15 yyards. but then again its about what fits you

My favorite carry gun is the standard XD-40 , as said before really accurate and very dependable. i carry it in a Galco flex hi-rider holster, works for me.

Save a wolf , take one to the taxidermist

I'd say go for the S, it's a nice size carry gun especially for a 45. But either would be good.

Appreciate the in put. I own other pistols but his will be my first conceal carry. The hardest part of my desicion is the single stack mag in the xds or the double stack in the xd40? I don't know if I should give up a little size for a few more rounds? Opinions?
I don't think they make the extended mag for the xds.

If I were a LEO I'd want the extra rounds otherwise I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you haven't solved your problem by 5 or 6 rounds that's what extra magazines or a BUG (back up gun) is for.

XDS for the single stack.

Don't Tread On Me is what it says and I'll take that to my grave.
