the plate is 20" across. think that is good for 100 yards?? ha

Um I hope you are kidding. At 100 yards you should be shooting a sub 1 moa groups. Or if you mean 1000 yds then I would say you are fine. If not get back on the bench and put some more rounds down range.

Don't Gobble at me...

Re: did a little medium range shooting this weekend.

I don't think you could dent that plate like that at 1000 yards...500 yes but those are pretty deep for 1000..and group wise your not going to be entering any matches at 1000 at Williamsport...what type of bullet for each cartridge?? Should shoot right through an elk at least to 750 at least some of them.3 highest are the 300 win mag, the 3 big shiners are the 338 and those 3 around the upper left of the lower group are the 257..good guess or which is which.

Ummm. 100 yards? At steel plate? Your should be around an inch or hopefully less.

I dont shoot steel until 400 plus just for safety.

You guys are too easy.

That was 506 yards on a windy morning. Using a backpack and our left hand under the rear of the stock. Field conditions practice. ( no bench)

6 dasher you are correct on the groupings. We use nosler accubonds in each caliber.

Re: did a little medium range shooting this weekend.

Everything was going fine until you mentioned those A-bullets!! Put some real bullets in those rifles and lets see what happens..I'll bet they tighten right up and lets compare the dents in the steel.. How about some berger hybreds or low drags..it's only money!! Also check some of the small custom made companies who's tolerances are stunning, the cost really isn't much different but performance is amazing.
