Windage ajustment on Marlin 336

My freind has 8-10 year old Marlin 336 and the windage is off 6 inches to the right.
On his rear sight it looks like a pin instead of a ajustment screw. How in the world are you suppose to move the rear sight right or left.
Any help is appreciated, thanks

do you have a picture? I thought they were leaf sights that were adjustable by drifting left or right. remember, move the rear sight the way you want the bullet to go...

Thanks for the reply,
No I don't have a pic of it but it isn't a leaf set up.
It has a pin (so it looks like one) instead of a screw.
You can move the rear up or down for elev. but the windage ajustment has me baffled.

you need to tap the rear site in the direction you want the bullet to move. i use a fine pencil and make a line on the site and the barrel. take a 16D nail and grind the tip off flat. then put duct tape on the flat end and gently tap it over with a small hammer while the gun is in a gun vice. watch the pencil lines separate to tell you how much it moved. it doesn't take much. they also sell a rear site adjustment tool at midway for it.
