Thoughts on which scope is best for a......

300 weatherby mag project I'm doing. I have it narrowed down to a bushnell 6500 elite 4.5-30x50, a trijicon accupoint 5-20x50, or some high power leupold. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for suggestions

i am a huge fan of the bushnell 4200 and 6500,but my thoughts are thats a heck of alot of power you are talking about at 30 on that bushnell, 4 to 16 or 6.5 by 20 would be all that i would go, but if you where to use that gun in thick woods once in awhile, i think a low power say 2 to 14 would best serve you, dont know what your going to use gun for most of the time.if only long range and not walking with it then more power is fine, good luck.

With a .300 Weatherby I would use a Leupold VX-III but at the 4,5 starting point unless all shooting is long range.

Make sure you pick a scope with plenty (4" or so) of eye relief.
