New Savage mod 99

Why would Savage ever stop makeing such a popular rifle and what would it take to get them to start production again? Why quit when you're on top? That gun had it all. John

Expensive to manufacture. It was best with the rotary magazine. I LOVE my old 99

I was hoping that Taurus would lease the patents and start making them again. They've been successful with other models.

Re: New Savage mod 99

Savage went through some pretty rough times the 80s
and 90s, as did several gun companies. I believe the
Model 110 series was the only survivor after all the
budget cuts. It would be nice to see the 99 come back,
but I dont think it will happen.

And it was starting to outsell the 700.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.
