It normally sells for a grand. That is a good deal, if you need a safe, looks like now is the time.

When I bought my gun safe they had an option to deliever it, they worked with a company thet did it. I hae mine delivered ad set in the spot I wanted it. Yeah, it cost me a couple bucks more, but it was worth is and I nor my friends were injured in the delivery. You may want to check on that option.

I would stay away from fire safes and look for fire resistant high security safes. I bought an AMSEC it has the thickest door on the market Fire safes are relatively easy to defeat. Any burglar er that knows his business can beat them with simple tools. Fire safes are made to keep things safe in a fire and people and kids with sticky fingers out. You can save money by getting the flat primer like paint finish you pay a lot for the glossy paint. The safe you are looking at only has a 30 minute fire rating.
AMSEC safes are made in Ca. but one of there two national distribution centers is in Phila. You may save on freight.
When you get safe delivered make sure the truck has a lift gate.

Re: Is This Gun Safe Any Good??????

That looks like a good deal for that vault. When I bought mine from Dunhams a year ago, they loaded it in my truck to all I had to do was have a few friends at the house to unload and set. For a few beers and snacks, it was well worth it, since Dunhams delivery at that time was something like $250 - $300. So far, I've been very pleased with the Cannon.

Find the time.....

Re: Is This Gun Safe Any Good??????

You have to have a friend with a trailer or p/u truck. If not, you should be able to rent a trailer for pretty cheap for a couple of hours at an equipment rental place.

Re: Is This Gun Safe Any Good??????

If your house is all carpet....here's a tip. When you get the safe into the house, set the safe on a piece of heavy plastic. The plastic should be (of course) about 6" wider than the safe, but if the safe is 3' wide, make the plastic 7' long. So....when you sit the safe on the plastic...you can now "drag" the safe around on top of the carpet buy simply having two guys grab the plastic.

It's really easy to move a safe this way.

Of course, the hard part may be getting the safe into the house.
