Anybody ever try the Wolf HP's for expansion? I would think that the steel jacket would be bad for good expansion hp or not.

Re: 7.62x39

I know I've been hearing good things from deer hunters about Wolf's 154 grain 7.62X39 load. I'd try that if I had a 7.62X39 that was legal to hunt with.

Re: 7.62x39

It's legal to hunt with, but most of the guns chambered in it aren't. It's actually a pleasant round to shoot in single shots.

PA-Joe,I believe you and don't want it or expect it but you never know. If someone told me in 1968 that doe and buck would open on the same day I'd have said your crazy.

Re: 7.62x39

I've been wanting a CZ in 7.62x39 with iron sights for a while, I think it would make a nice rifle to tote around the hills.

Internet quotes are great, but most are untrue. "Thomas Jefferson"

Re: 7.62x39

I have a interarms mini mauser in 7.62x39 and the hornady 125grn v-maxes really open up out of it.
