Best 30-30 load

Just started reloading. Anyone have proven or good loads they like. 170 Rem cor-loks always shoot well for me.

Watch your top knot.

Re: Best 30-30 load

Don't shoot the 30-30, but its near twin the 32 Special, does very well with 170gr Hornady flat points in my reloads.

They make basically the same bullet for the 30-30.

Re: Best 30-30 load

I don't shoot my 30-30 that much and it likes 170gr silvertip factory rounds so much that I never felt the need to load for it.

You can't get em from the couch.

Re: Best 30-30 load

Many years ago my cousin and I loaded 150 gr Centrex??? flat point over 30 gr of 3031. I have loaded Hornady also in 170 gr and Rem 170 gr hollow points again with 3031. I stay a bit below max and have not had any problems with my loads and have killed a bunch of deer with them.

Re: Best 30-30 load

I also push the Hornady 170 Gr, with 3031, Itís been a great load for the 336. If looking for a little more range the new Flex-tip bullets and lever-revolution powder will give you a much flatter-shooting bullet.
