What solvent, lubricant, do you use the most of?

I have found Kano Kroil works best for me. I use it on all my guns and Reloading dies. This stuff doesn’t gum up like some oils, yet it penetrates and protects like WD-40, but will not lock your gun up like WD-40 will.

Re: What solvent, lubricant, do you use the most of?

I have not tried them all but i put a pretty good dent in the pile!
As of last month I have cleaned inside and wiped down every weapon I own with Weapon Shield. I cannot comment on long term performance but so far I am impressed with it's lubrication. "They" say once used in the bore fouling and powder residue is easier to clean. I did notice when cleaning bores that were already "cleaned" with other products that I got some more coloration on the patches.
I use(ed) a lot of different products with BreakFree CLP getting the majority of use. I did use V-80 Inhibitor with VCI, Remoil with VCI, Hoppes #9, Birchwood Casey Sheath, Outers Barrel Blaster, and Breakfree Powder Blaster.
With regular maintenance I never had a problem with any of those products but I did have 2 cylinders almost lock up on revolvers when some Remoil mixed with the factory grease inside the cylinder rod and frame. It turned to a gummy mess. In my safe I have a foam plug saturated with the Inhibitor V-80 and the claim is that it emits a vapor shield that coats everything and repels rust/moisture. It has worked really well so far as those guns are the ones that get my least attention.

Our forefathers didn't bury their guns. They buried those that tried to take them.

I'm looking for a good one that doesn't gum up the action of a pump!

George Fennel, the owner of Weapon Shield, used to send out a sample oiler pen if you asked by email. I do not know he still does that but it might be worthwhile going to the site and asking him.

I can tell you from experience that all the pump and auto shotguns I cleaned and lubed with the Weapon Shield are remarkably slick and no gumming. The slides of my auto pistols are unbelievable. Do a search online for Weapon Shield reviews. I have yet to find a bad one. All are impressive but the best was one I found where the WS was used in Afghanistan with incredible results.

Same here.Rem oil made my semi and pumps work better than new.I will assume any good firearm lube would do the same.I even fixed the bathroom vent fan with it 3 weeks ago. Most likely all the same snake oil or very similar chemical coumponds. If something truly outstanding comes out you will hear about it and it won't be cheap.Numer 9 has cleaned guns before most on here were born, ever hear of a gun failure due to cleaning with it?Me neither. All of my firearms work fine with old #9.Quality firearms and proper cleaning is the biggest thing.Like they say junk in junk out.The same works in reverse, quality in quality out.
