Re: whelen carbine..

interesting. thats a different variation than mine. it looks like it has the matte finish like the 870 express's. if someone wins it, i would be interested in the barrel code to see what year it was made. looks like a fellow HPA'er is the high bidder so far.

Re: whelen carbine..

I don't know pumpgun..looks like a little "dull" on the bluing....but I kinda think it is blued/satin like my full whelen and your carbine...special grice run..id hope they didn't cut the stock for that recoil pad!

Id ask for more pics before I placed a bid for sure..

Re: whelen carbine..

My eye says they cut the stock, looks short to the swivel stud to me. That checkering pattern was short lived too if I remember right. Before I bought that one I would want to see some better pics, the seller only has a few transactions. For almost a grand I would want one in mint shape.

Re: whelen carbine..

good eye joe. you may be right about the cut stock. heres mine for comparison (bottom).

the swivel stud may be non-factory since it looks like a aftermarket barrel band in the front. interesting gun for sure. i'll bet it goes higher than 8 bills.

Re: whelen carbine..

Never noticed pumpguns carbine and the one listed has a straight stock....most the satin/blued runs I see had the monte carlo stock....

That gun just don't look right....I think the stock was cut too...many times they get a ridiculous recoil pad put on and have the stock hacked to make up the difference....

And that bluing just looks "off" as pumpgun said....could be the pics...but looking at pics of my whelen and pumpguns 2 rifles with the same pics, the bluing looks different on that one for sure....

I don't like the price or the gun or id be bidding not blabbing....I want one...but not for that price in that condition....even if they are hard to find...

Re: whelen carbine..

Gun doesn't look right or I'dve bid on it myself..Would gladly pay money like that for a NIB carbine, but not THAT one.
