Caliber size

I have an old Remington rolling block that I purchased several years ago.
How would I find out what size it is?
I do have 2 shells for it.

Re: Caliber size

The best way I know of is to take it to a good gunsmith.

Re: Caliber size

not sure if this will help but worth a shot:

and

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remingt...ng_Block_rifle

It was made in a variety of calibers, both rimfire and centerfire, including the 12.17x42 mm rimfire, 12.17x44 mm

rimfire and 12.17x44 mm rimmed centerfire Swedish and Norwegian cartridges, .43 Spanish (11.15x58mmR), .45-70, and later in .22 caliber.

Re: Caliber size

Thank you guys for all your help, the info on a .43 Spanish matches it perfectly. Now I wonder what it is worth?
