recamo a shotgun

want to recamo a shotgun that i have that been camo dipped but it pealin off. my question is should i take the camo dip off before using spraypaint to redo gun? and if so what could i use to take the camo dip off?

Try some type of stripper you can find it at any hardware store that should work. Or you can go all out and bead blast it. I do this kind of work all the time. I'm actually a sponsor here on the site. check it out like i said go to the hardware store and look for some try of stripper. hope this helps.

dont use paint stripper on a camo dipped gun, use lacquer thinner on you can sand it, i would contact the conpamy that dipped it, they should stand behind there work, i know eastcoastvisions in quakertown pa, stands behind there work. If you use stripper on a plastic stock it could be bad.
