Revelation was the name of products sold by Western Auto. The last bolt actions were made for them by Mossberg, I believe....a picture of your rifle would help in identifying its manufacturer.

Yes a pic would tell the tale. Savage made them for them for a long, long time. Gun was basically a 110. As Bob said, Mossberg made the last ones. Easy to tell apart with a photo. Not a bad gun at all.

That number doesn't appear on the cross-over brand list I have, either under Revelation or Western Auto.

Not hard to tell the difference between a Mossberg M800 variant or the Savage 110, though? If it's a Savage, the handle will be on the end of the bolt, not placed forward like most other bolt action centerfires.

Been so long since I've handled a M800, can't recall where the handle is, only that they had an "odd" cocking piece/shroud, IIRC?

Visiting the "exploded drawings" of each action at Gun Parts, might help the poster decide?

Some folks' learnin' curves just look like circles...3A Camp/also hunt 4B
