What ever happened to...

KBI? I believe they were the importers of Zastava/ Charles Daly Mausers from Serbia. Do any of you have experience with their bolt actions and rifles? Someone around here had a sweet .35 Whelen built on that action. Just wondering...

not sure about the rifles, but some one told me you can use remington parts for the shotguns.

Re: What ever happened to...

I believe they owned Charles Daly, which was the importer of the Zastava as well as others.

They went out of business.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.

Re: What ever happened to...

Started as Kassner in Harrisburg, many years ago. Recall their "brand" as far back as the late '60s and early '70s.

Primarily importers of foreign-made sporting gear (scopes, accessories, etc), changed to KBI years ago. Gone now. They had bought the Charles Daly name, all of that stuff was imported. Zastava rifle actions/complete rifles. Most of their shotguns were imported from Turkey, perhaps some from Russia?

Remington "taking over" the Zastava imports and third world shotguns, more or less put the whammy on KBI, from what I have been told? Was at their office once (Linglestown Rd.) to haggle over some donations to our FNRA committee. They were good to us back then.
