Re: Richards Microfit

Their stocks come pretty rough so they take a bit of work to finish. From what I've heard they are a little better now then when I got my last one. In my opinion the Richards MF stocks are overpriced for what they are, unless you buy off the clearance page. I've switched over to getting stocks from Stocky's. They are nearly perfect and come in almost every color Richards offers (with a couple Richards doesn't offer).

Re: Richards Microfit

I would look elsewhere, Pretty rough is an understatement. I bought one and it was so bad I needed to send it back after waiting 3+ months, then I had to wait an additional 3 months to get a replacement, granted after all the wait and many hours sanding and finishing it now looks beautiful. There are many other stock makers out there that are putting out stocks that do not require nearly as much finish work. Joel Russo in Harrisburg is putting out a pretty nice product and is easy to deal with.

I've had good results with Boyd's stocks if you want a wood stock.

Re: Richards Microfit

I bought a thumb hole laminated one for mu Remington 700ML inline and I had to sand it a little bit before finishing it but it wasn't too bad.
