good bullet for light caliber deer

I'm looking into getting a .22-250 for coyote and groundhog hunting and was wandering what would be the best ammo to use if I wanted to hunt deer with it?

If you don't have a bigger, more proper tool for the job and are forced to use a .22 cal for deer use a Barnes TSX as heavy as the gun will stabilize.

If you must use a 22/250 Rem. for Deer I would load it up with Nosler 60 gr Partition bullets.

Re: good bullet for light caliber deer

I have used the Rem Corelokt 55 gr spire points for 4 or 5 deer along with 3 or 4 for my nephew. Two slugs recovered from my deer were completely expanded against skin on far side.

I would use a Barnes TSX or TTSX.

Good luck, Tony

Another vote for the Barnes bullet! But really any tougher controlled expansion bullet would do great! Good luck!

Either the barnes or the partition will work very well.

You can't get em from the couch.
