mossberg 500 trigger pull

I feel like i am pulling a dumptruck with this factory trigger on my slug gun. Any way to change it?

google wasnt too much help

If it's over say 7 pounds (not uncommon for shotguns but pretty heavy for a mossy) there could be something wrong with it. Every Mossy shotgun I own has had a decent trigger (considerably better than my SBE II trigger) so you might wana get it looked at. At the least you could pull the trigger assembly (pull two pins and it will just pop right out) and see if there is alot of gunk in the mechanism. If so just hose it out with gun scrubber or break parts cleaner and LIGHTLY lubricate. Should fix the problem but if not...might wana have it looked at.

My 500 trigger pull is like pullings a brick through sand. Not terribly heavy, but tehre is a ton od creep.

I just deal with it.
