I took a four point (when it was legal to do so) at 310 yards. That is more than 100 yards than my next closest long range PA deer (200) and is longer range than any of the four pronghorn I've taken. 310 is not super long for the right equipment but with my 760 .30-06 and a Bushnell 4X I felt it was an incredible shot. Let's hear yours.
I know people will find this hard to believe but -- with a witness beside me, at over 500 yds. at a buck that looked more like a greyhound in flight. This was a free-hand shot with a 760 30-06. I remember my dad saying to lead & elevate. Upon checking the deer, the shot hit the liver & that deer only went 40 yrds.
110 yards with a Benelli Super Black Eagle slug gun and Wichester Partition Gold slugs in a shotgun zone. Longest rifle shot in PA was 85 yards with a 30-06 Ruger 77. I did shoot a caribou in Canada at about 350 yards though with a .300 Weatherby. That is my longest shot anywhwere at anything.
