federal trophy bonded tip

Has anyone out there tried these. Picked up a box for my 06 incase I carry it for bear they were on sale and I had another 10 off so could not pass it up. Any input how they shoot and how they work on game would be great. Need to go to the range and see if the gun likes them.

Re: federal trophy bonded tip

My brother has the same rounds for his 06 and loves them he shot a doe with them and blew both front shoulders up. exit and entry hole were great. should work well on bear they have alot of energy. seem to kick alittle more then most rounds but overall i think they will kill a bear with ease with a good shot.

Re: federal trophy bonded tip

cheap ammo ok for deer not for bear in my book. I have had plain jane bullets blow up on a deer at close range. If that happens with a bear at close range good luck. Only paid $15 more than a box of core locks. I belive in shooting the best bullet I can afford. This load is for bear so will only shoot a few rounds a year and then shoot the cheap stuff for deer.
