243 factory ammo????

what factory ammo do you guys reccomend for deer. my 8 year old son will be using a remington 7600 in 243 i have a youth stock coming for it so the gun should work well for him now i need a good factory ammo for him to get his first deer with. what brand and grain and bullet type do you think he should use??

take a kid hunting and fishing it will keep them out of trouble

95 or 100 grain soft point from Federal,Remington or Winchester would work.
Have to see which your rifle likes best.

100 grain remington corelokts are all you need.

What he said. My buddy got a nice doe last year with the Federal blue box. He tried the three above to see what shot best, and went with the Federals. The other loads shot just fine for woods hunting purposes too.

Years ago we tried some factory loads in my model 6 243. Basically a 7600 BDL. It shot the best with Winchester power points. I shoot hand loads now as it is much cheaper.

ive used core lokts for almost every gun ive had and liked them. but recently ive used federal fusion anyone evr use this in 243 and if so what grains.

take a kid hunting and fishing it will keep them out of trouble

They are a little harder to find and I usually order mine but my gun and I love the performance of the .95 grain accutips by remington..
