Anyone shooting a 6.5X47 for Whitetails?

Just wondering if anyone in Pa. is shooting a 6.5X47 for whitetails and what bullet weight and powder you're shooting and if you're happy with it's performance?

I can't speak to your specific caliber of 6.5, but I looked at LoadData and see that with careful loading you can get a 140gr. bullet up to about 2,700fps. That's all you need for a Pa. whitetail.

I load and shoot a 6.5x55 Swede from my modern action Savage rifle. My loads are to much pressure for the old early 1900's Swedish Mausers.

I can only assume you have a modern action rifle and not one made in the early 1900's?

I've killed several Pa. whitetails and one Wyoming antelope with my 6.5 140gr. Hornady bullets.

I hope my above ramblings help!!
