Scope ring height question?

I recently purchased a Vortex Diamondback 3.5x10x50mm to put on a Savage Axis .308. I’m not sure which scope rings to purchase now, will medium work or will I need to buy high scope rings? Thanks in advance.

I have the same scope on a TC Compass 204 Ruger, originally this setup was on an AR-15. I ordered 1" Vortex Optics Hunter Weaver-Style Rings Matte Product #: 397323 from Midway USA. These left little distance from scope to flat top on the AR. On the 204 these rings leave about 1/2 inch from scope to barrel. Plenty high enough on the 204. The mediums should work depending on slope of barrel past the chamber.

Support 2A. Because a dog without teeth has no bite.

Thanks. I’m actually looking at getting the Talley Lightweight 2-Piece Scope Mounts with Integral Rings. I was looking at them on MidwayUSA and they seem to get very good reviews.
