Yeah, its a slick little rifle. It clover leafed a 1" group at 50 with the dot. Contemplated mounting a scope on it, but had a flashback of my 1st deer hunt, being unfamiliar with pointing a scope, and a missed opportunity at a buck. Threw a cheek riser pad on there as well to achieve a better cheek weld. I'm excited and confident if we get a deer within 75 yards its goin down.

I was going to ask about the optics choice. I think that's a good choice for a younger shooter till they get used to looking for a target through a scope ... especially since you're going to keep their shots closer anyway
