Man, my institution just bought them per our Department contract. So, I went out and bought it to prepare myself as a instructor should. WOW, did Smith and Wesson hit it out of the park with this one. The trigger is awesome without any aftermarket enhancements, the grips is textured perfectly, and the 17 round mags... Finally a gun maker listened to the customer and professionals and put something out that is right the first time!!!

Not in this day and age where people can't qualify to save their life and cry like the millennial's of ANTIFA. SNIFF SNIFF... the targets turn to quick... booo hooo....
Well, get out and train... LOL...
But yes... ammo, and the smell of gun powder is a good thing to get paid for! Plus actually teaching someone and seeing them succeeed... works for me!

we go over the Remington 870 shotgun in the classroom. include instructions on how to "push in that little button" to unlock the slide. we get to the range and they cant unlock the darn thing after doing it at least a dozen or more times in the classroom. one guy had so much trouble i stood next to him and told him what to push and how to do it.

he still had problems. one of those "Military" people. i asked him if he hunted, he said "yes". i asked what he used, he said a 12 ga pump (same thing) my reply was "you dont kill much do you"

LOL

ever have someone tell you the sights are off, then you take the gun, chamber one round, remove the magazine, turn the gun upside down and hit the target ? that little trick really makes their blood pressure go up.

Soooo, back to our regularly scheduled programming.....

I do not own a Ruger American Pistol as yet, but intend to. Tried one out at a gun show, and was blown away with the trigger on that particular one. They are a bit heavier than most of the competiton for the size (a recurring Ruger trait - and not all bad). For carry, probably more interested in the compact for my tastes. Reviews are good everywhere on them.

Smith SHUDDA got the M&P right the REAL first time........
