Marlin 336D 35 Remington Guide Gun

I've been chasing one of these since 2000. They were a limited run by Davidson of 1000 rifles. 336 straight stock 18.5 inch ported barrel. I do not see the need for the ports but it is what it is! My quest is complete. It will be carried into the Pennsylvania woods this opening day!

One of my all time favorite calibers, just because! I didn't even know that variant of the 336 was out there. You're really rubbing it in posting that pic, but I don't blame you. Good luck and enjoy!

Hunter58 are you going to be putting a scope on it or using the irons?

I had a buddy in NY that owned a 336D. It's really a sweet gun.

I will be glassing it! My eyes are not what they used to be. I have two scopes I'm thinking about. One is an old classic Weaver V4.5 widefield the other is a Weaver 1X3. I prefer the low power for my hunting area and I think the smaller scope would look the best! I am now kicking myself for letting go of my Leupold 3X...

I am a huge 35 caliber fan!! Davidson Distributors used to make up a host of Marlin variants back in the day! Marlin collectors were well aware of new offerings and scooped many up. Very few ever hit the local Gun Shops shelves as inventory. Only 1000 of these were produced. Many of these variants are bringing crazy money on the market right now.
